If there was one Diva known better known outside the ring then within it Sable would be that Diva. With two past Playboy cover shoots and yet ANOTHER one this year with Torrie Wilson (who will not be included on this site).
Why is Sable so popular for the Playboy cover? Hmm, let me think, maybe its because she was the only DIva at the time willing to pose? (they have asked Lita to pose but she says it's just a paycheck not a steping stone) But who better than Sable the one diva who revolutionized the diva division in WWE as more a wrestling stable then just your common sex symbol. (They are still sex symbols, but that's why we love them.) I admit an occasional cat fight is nice to see, WAIT we can't forget the Bra and Panties matches as well, its wrestling, really it is!
When Sable and WWE parted ways in 1999, nobody -- least of all Sable -- ever thought she would return. But, as the saying goes, "never say never" when it comes to WWE. The blonde bombshell, former model and Playboy cover girl made her shocking comeback just days after WrestleMania XIX. M
As Sable herself pointed out the night of her return, even four years after departing, the men still come to see her, and the women still want to be her. In 1999, in fact, men and women alike clamored to see her -- nude -- when she became the first WWE Diva to pose in Playboy. Sable's edition turned out to be the fastest selling ever. It was so demanded, in fact, the Playboy invited her back for a second shoot, making her the first woman to ever grace the cover of Playboy twice in the same year. She also appeared twice that year on the cover of TV Guide.
During her time away from WWE, Sable concentrated on acting. She starred in the 2001 feature film "Corky Romano," alongside "Saturday Night Live" funnyman Chris Kattan. She guest starred on the series "Relic Hunter." And she appeared on numerous talk shows, from "The Tonight Show," to "Politically Incorrect" to the "Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn."
In March 2004, Sable graced the pages of Playboy for a third time -- this time as part of a Diva duo with Torrie Wilson. The issue was historic in that it marked the first time two WWE Divas appeared in the pages of Playboy together. Clearly, with Sable's staying power as a top WWE Diva established, she is going to continue to be a hot item for a long time to come!
